2016 holidays, voting, and family drama

After we moved to our new place, unfortunately I was so busy settling in, that we missed our window for voting, since we weren't registered in this county. So, basically we didn't vote since we couldn't. Unfortunately it didn't matter much anyway, since my vote wouldn't have changed the results of the election much, if at all.

It took us a while to get adjusted to our new house, but now we feel more at home. At least, as at home we as we can feel in this house.
Ugh, I hate to say this, but I can't wait until we move away again. Unfortunately we won't be able to do that again for a while though.

This Thanksgiving was my fiance's first Thanksgiving without having a bunch of family around. She kept complaining, but I had to remind her that I have spent many Thanksgivings completely alone, and that we at least have each other. Unfortunately Christmas was not as good as Thanksgiving, becuase we invited my future in-laws(on her dad's side) to stay the night. They kind of got drunk and ruined Christmas by acting like a bunch of babies. It hasn't helped this holiday season that unfortunately there has been a lot of drama with my fiance's mom and step-dad.

I am just so ready to move closer to my family, becuase I am sick of all of this drama.



Anyway, thankfully I have some good news. I had been playing Pokemon Moon for a while, and I finished the regional Pokedex, which means that I am no longer as distracted by the game as I used to be. Also, I bought new headphones and finally got a comfortable office chair. So, I will likely be spending much more time on my artistic pursuits. I still need to clean my office some more, but I plan to gradually do that while working. Right now there is plenty of space, and I feel really in the mood to finally work again. Once New Years has passed, I plan to start having more new content on the web again. this time I will first be focusing on Youtube, since I feel that is much more doable than anything else, since I have the most experience with videos out of any of the mediums that I use. From there, once I get the hang of regularly making videos, I plan to work more on my DA as well as my webcomics at the same time. So, those are my plans. Hopefully all goes well in the new year.

Also, in case you were wondering, my old headphones broke before we moved, which is why I got new ones, and I haven't had and comfortable chairs that I could actually sit in for hours, which is why I got an office chair.
